One of the largest and oldest East End markets, Roman Road is not exactly straight out of TV show 'Eastenders', but it's close. The usual suspects are available: fruit and vegetables, clothes, shoes, linen. The area around the market is green, and you can enjoy a bagel from Ridley Bagel Bakery at Victoria Park to get away from the crowds. This is a great place to sample the East End.
