Without a doubt, Royal China serves the best dim sum in London. Since dim sum is typically a weekend brunch thing and the restaurant craftily does not take bookings on the weekend afternoons, prepare to wait patiently for a table. But it's definitely worth the wait and once you sit down, you might like to taste the main menu offerings too - there are some pretty good Cantonese staples. If you decide to stick with the famous dim sum, the prawn dumplings are a fantastic choice. The service is brisk and functional, so whilst you won't have any complaints about delays you might feel as though their time, rather than yours, is of the essence. With black Chinese lacquer screens and mirrors, Royal China is a little more upmarket than your average London Chinese restaurant.
