The Royal Court Theatre, the famous home of new writing which reopened at the beginning of 2000, is a small venue that seats only 395 people. Dedicated to producing work by up and coming playwrights, the variety of shows is limited to short runs of new plays with occasional classics and revivals. The Jerwood Theatre upstairs is a small space staging provocative plays. The restaurant and bar offer a relaxed atmosphere in which to sit and discuss the relative merits of the play you've just seen.
