When it comes to Britishness, fish and chips is a partnership which is right up there with eggs and bacon, and strawberries and cream. No-one does it better than Seashell. This restaurant is a favourite with the cabbies, and they can't be wrong. And don't be surprised to see tourists either. Expect to queue for what many deem the best fish and chips in town. Or if you're in the mood for something else, try the fish cakes and mushy peas.
