The Shakespeare is an average looking hotel in a great location. Not only is it close to Paddington and Hyde Park but it is also located in a lovely square with a public garden. In the summer, it's good for evening strolls, though you might bump into some odd (and inebriated) local characters. The rooms are unremarkable, but functional. The best bit is probably the low prices and the fact that the Shakespeare can accommodate larger groups in some rooms.
