Shipleys is right in the middle of London's best-known book road and has been open for more than 100 years. They stock more than 20,000 new, used, rare and antiquarian art books that cover a range of topics, from oriental and Renaissance art to fashion and photography, interior design and urban design. All of the staff are graduates from a fine art or academic literature background, so any questions you have will be met with sound advice. This charming bookshop also issues catalogues and has an international mail order service. Despite being quaint, this shop also offers searches on the web.
