Located just off Shaftesbury Avenue, behind Piccadilly Circus, this giant of a restaurant (1,000-seater) fulfils all culinary expectations, and the designers really went to town with it. Accompanied by a waterfall, the azure-blue walls are bathed in images of the ocean, yet the impression of feeling immersed in a swimming pool is successfully avoided. Neither the food nor service can be faulted. The monthly-changing menu is of the modern European ilk, featuring starters such as an exquisite Beef Carpacio with sweet chilli glaze and horseradish crisps followed by a main in league with perfectly prepared Pan-Cooked Cod, brandade cake and parsley sauce. You can also choose from the superior selection of grills, including a sublime Surf 'n' Turf with coriander and foie gras butter. Desserts are decadent in the extreme - try a Chocolate Truffle with marshmallow and peanut butter ice cream.
