Perched above the old-but-revamped tea merchant's chain Whittard, this pioneering shop has struck back at coffee's popularity with this modern "temple to tea" and a dynamic hands-on approach. First, grab yourself a mixing dish, make a base from either green, China or Ceylon teas, then take your pick of the flowers, fruits and flavoured oils from the middle table and set to perfecting your own blend. The T-Zone is a miniature Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory for tea, displaying around 150 ready-made varieties. After tasting your tea on the premises you may decide to start again to balance or enhance the flavour. It's marvellous fun and there is no correct end result. A blend from the T-Zone would make an exciting and personal gift for any tea connoisseur. Teas are divided according to geographic region and type which all adds to the experience.
