This new, smart Thai establishment, just a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square, replete with bar and club, is spacious and exotically slick, and the food is as good as any of your favourite Thai restaurants. Formerly the Norwegian Embassy, the restaurant has high ceilings, a spiralling staircase and room for more than 400 diners. Pad Thai comes in a net of beaten egg and starters come on banana leaves. If you don't like that kind of thoughtful and ethnic touch, you'll love the generous portions of great food from an extensive menu, featuring regional specialities.
