This annual festival offers a free programme of arts and river themed events, all in celebration of London's life source, The Thames. The festival takes advantage of its location on Southbank, London's thriving arts area, to offer a vast array of free exhibitions. Events will include fireworks displays, street theatre, a children's treasure hunt and sculpture and art exhibitions. Added to this is the highlight of the festival a torch-lit procession along the banks of the Thames accompanied by music and illuminated floats. The web site above has a programme of what's on when.
