The Townhouse Brasserie has firmly established itself as a favourite with its Bloomsbury regulars, as well as business lunchers, corporate functions and romantic tête-à-têtes come evening time. A modern décor of polished wood flooring and abstract art sets off the intimate ground floor brasserie, where the French-based cuisine is spiced up with Caribbean and Asian flavours (chef Lloyd Lewars is of Jamaican-Chinese parentage). Kingfish is the speciality and seafood is a prominent feature on the menu. The restaurant boasts two further Georgian-style dining rooms upstairs, as well as recently opened Italian-style bar that swings with live jazz on a Friday evening. You can even stay the night, as the Townhouse offers four cosy bedrooms including breakfast.
