The Underworld is a cut above the standard Camden pub venues, not only in sound quality but also in size. Follow the foreboding corridor down from the World's End pub and you will emerge into a spacious, L-shaped room with two separate bars and plenty of space in which to dance. The likes of Radiohead and Blur have done the rounds here and it is still very much the kind of venue that you might play if you are on the cusp of worldwide mega stardom. Hence, The Underworld is frequently crammed with Brit pop royalty and lots of industry posse. If you want to press flesh with the stars, or at least accidentally spill your pint on them, this is the place to come.
