The nostalgically named Vaudeville Theatre was last redesigned in 1926, and has retained an early 20th century feel. The theatre holds around 690 people, and its relatively small size makes it perfect for West End transfers. It tends to show smart and funny plays which tested the waters in smaller West End venues before coming here, recent examples being productions such as East and Perfect Days. It was also at the Vaudeville that Macauley Culkin made his stage debut in Madame Melville. Wheelchair access is a possibility but may be of discomfort to the person, as wheelchairs must be left outside the auditorium and access to toilets is difficult.
