Maybe it's the open spaces, or perhaps the exposed red-brick walls and roaring log fires, or maybe it's just the young marketing execs that frequent it, but there's definitely something about this beautiful, rustic pub and restaurant that gives it a uniquely relaxed and bubbly ambience. Of course it could just be the excellence of the daily updated menu. Small but well chosen, typical dishes include pan-fried scallops and chorizo with green lentils and deep fried leeks, and yellow-fin tuna char grilled with ratatouille and tomato sauce. You are, of course, equally welcome if you just want to spend your evening drinking - although you are missing out on an excellent meal - and a hearty selection of real ales is available alongside the usual selection of lagers, wines and spirits.
