The White Horse, or the Sloaney Pony as it is more fondly known, is found at the corner of Parson's Green, the patch of green after which this affluent corner of London is named. A favourite of media types, estate agents and beautiful wannabes drawn from the many studios nearby, the feel of this pub is definitely at the ornate end of traditional. A large wooden bar is the centrepiece, murals with a classical theme curl round the walls, and old leather couches let you sit next to the cosy coal hearth. Food is served from noon-3p and 6p-10:30p on weekdays and from 11a-10p on weekends. The menu offers a limited but delicious range of upmarket dishes. A colourful new, non-smoking dining area has recently been completed.
