Georgio Locotelli's amazing Italian cuisine never ceases to impress, and now that hes won Outstanding London Chef of in the Moet and Chandon London Restaurant awards, things can only get better. Zafferano is arguably one of London's best haute Italian restaurants - although if you want to sample similar cuisine at lower prices, check out the less expensive La Spighetta and Spiga, as they are part of the same restaurant group. The nondescript and rather old dining room hasn't dented the universal admiration heaped upon it by critics and regulars. Pheasant lends substance to the usually insubstantial ravioli dish, the potato gnocchi with truffles is as light as air despite the sweet butter sauce, and the tiramisu is legendary.
